THE AH CLUB Squeeze My Cares Away (TOY 26)
The follow up to their much praised debut. The sound of the sea in a shell, the soundtrack to a broken heart as only The Ah Club can do it. Another winner from the Club.

POT LOBSTER BITCH Bitchin' With... (TOY 27)
From Canberra comes this off-key electro-odyssey straight from difficult listening hour. PLB are brought to you by the people responsible for the Growling Porcupine label of the 1980s and bands such as Lucy Looser, The Obnoxious Noise Makers and the Moon Family. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Jeremy please get in touch with me, I've lost contact. Pot Lobster Bitch is not for the timid.

THEY MAKE JEWELS AT HOME Ricky Wears Prize Space Helmet (TOY 28)

From Seattle USA, imagine Severed Heads meets Stinky Fire Engine, meets your parents record collection. Out of control samples creating incredible soundtracks that just go! Their first release on Slabco was so impressive I begged them to record for TOYTOWN and guess what? They did!
The songs have no titles

STINKY FIRE ENGINE If It's Tuesday This Must Be Melbourne (TOY 30)
The idea behind this tape was to project a Stinky dose of metropolitan pride for their own fair city. Most of the songs refer to the splendours and miseries releated to urban pride and loss. As the advertising line goes, the whole shebang then "processed through the moog, set to a rhumba and lit through coloured cellophane". Ah yes.

VARIOUS Yummy! (TOY 32)

Fancy a nibble? On a diet, not ready for a full bite? Yummy! was a lower price TOYTOWN sampler that was only available for the run of catalogue #6. All tracks on this tape had previously been released on various TOYTOWN cassettes except for the track by The Cat's Miaow (Right Back Where We Started From). The original plan was to have the bands introducing themselves and their songs, by this idea proved universally unpopular so it was abandoned. They're very shy these bands you know.
Yummy? With a spoon!
